Pinto to prerunner

Hello! I’ve got a doozy, I have a 75 pinto wagon that’s had a 302 swap recently, I was planning on making a drag car but in the desert it’s kind of pointless with no tracks around. I want to make a completely unique car and do a mid travel setup to do some desert running, maybe some hoops on the back and have a decent travel. I was thinking about getting rzr stock suspension but I don’t think it’ll be enough. What I’m really asking for is some ideas, I’ve owned a prerunner but never built anything and there’s so many options to go with that I’d like some advice from the community. What would you do? Besides build a truck lol

Well, if you're not into a frame addition, you're going to need to weld in a bunch of tube to keep it alive. It's a unibody street car, it won't like getting off road loads thrown at them.

Well, if you're not into a frame addition, you're going to need to weld in a bunch of tube to keep it alive. It's a unibody street car, it won't like getting off road loads thrown at them.

To be completely honest, I use to off-road it pretty damn hard in highschool, I’ve jumped it too lol. We added some structure to it as well to the front and underneath mostly because I wasn’t sure on if the frame would twist with the v8 swap. Honestly I’m not gonna be taking it on whoops at 50, I just want to be able to go faster than I use to without blowing out my shocks on rough roads and trails

Damn I’d like to get ahold of one of them, it seems like it’s stock suspension with a lift though correct? I want to go a little wider in the front maybe but I’m not building a trophy truck, just more capable
