I was listening to the radio this afternoon and was wondering about possible implications specifically affecting the off road community. What happens to the businesses that operate here in the u.s. but produce products in Mexico . How does it affect pricing? Can score survive a long term border closure?

The longest US government shutdown so far was only 21 days, back in the nineties. Economic cost estimates range from $1 billion a day and higher for a southern border closure.

Mexico is Arizona's largest trade partner for instance.

I don't think any closure would last until the San Felipe race event next year.

Even if it only went till April I would bet we see some businesses move their operations up here. Smaller shops that operate out of the border towns couldn't keep their doors open.

What next closure?

What makes you think it could last that long?
