When Men and Women who took on Baja were true Adventurers! Think about the differences back then compared to now!

My Dad raced the Mint from 83-85 then SNORE into the early 90s. All but the last are from the 85 Mint. My Mom was the co-driver. I think the pit pictures are the Diehl guys, who helped us out. We were also from Phoenix. I know they were running a Class 5. Mark Clay, of Sandhawk and later Geiser Brothers, was Dad's second driver. The last pic from after the 84 Mint shows the aftermath of Mark's driving. :)

Here are a handful of old pictures my father (Ken Sanislo) had from his days of desert racing, as well as a great shot of his friend Punkin Anderson in his CJ2B. The #142 car can also be seen in that video of the 1988 Vorra 400 race you can find on YouTube.
