How do I post a video from my I phone? Once uploaded error message saying the file doesn’t contain an allowed extension. Does the mp4 need to be converted?

Same here, if anyone has the magic. I've uploaded to YT, and then posted here before. But a lot of my content is undesirable in uh....some circles.

mp4 video can be uploaded however its a bit hit and miss.

It might be the file size limit. We have a limit lower than what rumble/yt/odysee allows.

To serve videos one really needs a video-streaming-server and that is a whole new animal of a server compared to a html style web server.
The video sharing platforms run such servers and we don't.

The big difference is adaptive quality and true chunked streaming vs. a file download. Here our videos are file downloads. The viewer must download the entire large video file to watch just a fraction of it.... vs. a streaming server only sends the viewer what they actually view on the screen.
