Alright a lot of racers are getting back. Lets hear what you liked, what you did not like, How you finished, how the car was and what took you out if you did not finish, what you might have seen along the course. Thanks in advance..

he is finished when he quits.

Man that was a fun race. We started 4th off the line in class (I think 10 trucks started in my class). The first 40 miles was a soft whooped out wash that was ruff as hell. Right off the start I could tell the valving we did on the front shocks was a lot better and the back end sucked. The back hopped around and swapped from side to side so bad that I had to get out of the gas to keep it straight and greasy side down. We had a good pace going and planned a fuel splash at mile 82. My co-driver Rodd came out there to try and make the back better. Well the problem with that was I was going to do my main fuel/driver swap in 30 race miles. Well we go to RM115 and no one was there. We decided to try and grab some gas from anyone we saw and continue. Some guy gave us 5 gal and off we went. We called the guys waiting for us at rm142, we knew they had 5 gals of gas but that was not going to be enough. We told them to beg barrow or steal as much gas they can and they were our main fuel stop now. Now we were just worried that we wouldnt have enough gas to make it to 142. Well as it turns out some guys could hear us on the radio but couldnt talk with us so the back tracked the course and flaged us down and gave us the 5 gal that they had. Now we knew we could make it to our guys at 142. When we showed up they dumped 16 gal's where they got it???? Off we went and we had enough gas to make it back out of nowhere to the main side of the course. I was able to get a hold of weatherman and relayed a message to Rodd to meet us at rm182. we make all the way to rm182 (its a section that runs on pavement for 5 miles) and no chase crew was there. No one answered our radio calls not even weather man this time. So we decided to keep going and if we saw a pitt we would try to swipe more gas. We started to pull into a pitt when the radio came to life. It was Rodd and he was waiting for us at rm187. Thank God. So we did the fuel/swap thing and they were off sitting about 2 mins ahead of third place. Well I guess third caught up to Rodd while he was getting use to the truck but Rodd was able to catch him again but while he was right behind the 722 Toyota, in his dust, Rodd hit a big old rock causing a flat and ruined the rim. We came in 3rd and had a real good time doing it. Now we will get back to work on valving and continue to do better. Just as long as we can stay away from those nasty DNF's. Thanks for everyones help and intrest.

Wow! What a nail biting finish. We won class 1 by 30 seconds over Wehyrich, in their newly acquired Jimco, congrats to them. Its great to be back in the winner circle for our team. After having Parker all but wrapped up 30 miles to go when an oil fitting cracked, that one really hurt.

Thank you, all of the Jimco crew for once again your awesome support.

I liked all the beer drinking at Pete's Camp! I saw Gabe, Klaus, and some other RDC boyz there. The TT's were cool too.

Did anyone see the girl with a bad case of Tequila Flu sat night at Pete's? She was in really bad shape.

I dont think the mom was diggin me when I was tellin her daughter and friend to bang one of my boyz! Age doesnt matter in Mehico. The mom was the goods though. Kinda looked like a porn star...definitly a MILF.

Hey Klaus did you get lucky with the drunk flasher? Haha That chick was tore up. Funny when she ran into the hitch on Guy's truck and said "man I thought that was a d*ck, I was about to get down on it"

nah...
my conversation with her (flasher girl) was purely on an intellectual level regarding her travel experiences in Brazil.

Well how about those 3 kids sitting behind our table inside...age 12, 12 and 16...big brother trying to get his younger once drunk. only in mex.

Those little kids hit my lady up to buy them booze "if you buy us beer we will buy you and your boyfriend drinks too". Little bastards were way too young to be drinking.

As for the flasher..it didn't seem like she had much intellect!

Kris,

That girl was SMASHED when she walked in!! She staggered in and we all started to laugh.
They were having a good time.

And the kids? Were those the ones sitting behind us?
Too funny.

Great Race!
Congrats to Rich Beck in his VW powered "Beam Car" finishing 5th in class 10, and 3rd in pro-10!! (If it weren't for being high centered on a rock for 15 minutes in the middle of nowhere, he would have been looking at a 2nd in class, 1st in pro-10!!!) Oh well, that's racing! Still not bad for a guy who just finished his new front arms set up on Wed, and has never pre-run or raced in SF before!! Way to go dude!! Those new arms are sweet!!
