So we r doing a 500 mile “rally” in a 95 Honda Accord. Where do offroad rally tires go to die? We r looking for some used tires with thicker sidewalls and more aggressive tread than what r on it. Any ideas?

What size rims are you running? Diameter and width, please.

What surfaces do you expect to see?

I think you are going to have a hard time finding used, and I don't think a 28 inch tall tire will fit on an Accord.

If you do buy used, how many mounted and unmounted spares do you plan to carry?

Better to have more sidewall than less.

Good luck!

we may cut the fenders to fit the tires lol and will have 2 spares one mounted one not. Can't spend more than $500 on the rig (rule) so new tires are out of the question!

As someone who has suffered three flats with two mounted spares...I'd also recommend a couple a cans of Fix-A-Flat.

Slime with a magnesium choride chaser stops damn near anything under 0.250 you can find it in places that cater to the agricultural type (That is if California hasen't banned it as a cancer causing agent) BTW its heavy and once mixed plan on tossing the entire tire/wheel assembly because you really dont want to go inside their ever again.....trust me.
