Well, he coulda taken some advice from Chris Rock....Respectfully, A cop has no business doing one of these rallies unless he really wants to lose his badge...
There was a guy who entered a very very fake cop car and he was pulled over 3 times before he even left California.
he got a bunch of tickets but they wont stick. he eventually peeled the vinyl on the door off and he wasnt diving with the red light on the roof either.... The rear 1/4 panel said 411 not 911 on it...That does look a lot like a real cop car. He should have written POLICIA instead and put a donut on instead of a shield.
Not sure about the other states you will be travelling in, but here in NY and in NJ if you are a volunteer firefighter, you can run blue lights on top of your car. Unfortunately it won't allow you to drive any faster....they have abused that over the years, and the privilege has been taken away.Pssshh... We don't need a lightweight cop puking all over the place. It would be sweet for red lights though...
Ok.. lets get a for sure roll call... I know Dan is out... Gregg, and I are in... Need to keep our eyes posted for cheap airfare, and are we going to get a cheap (found them for 130 @ the Ramada) room in Long Island (and I thought it was just a drink!) or stay at Franz... I'm down for either. Brian, I think you've earned a shot to join the Underground. Do we have a chicks willing to cough (pardon the pun) up for airfare? I would like to go Thursday early if we can all afford it, and depart from NC or we can make the 8 hour drive back Sunday and leave NY on Monday? So who hit the Prom Queen? Val!
I was thinking about putting a team together for NY, and Fish told my you weren't going to make it and I could take your spot if I wanted, but I don't think I'm worthy.
I actually talked with Pants, Mustache and Beef Supreme about a Euro rally and they are very interested in doing one. Hopefully it would be set in the East.Congratulations on the win Rambo guys. Durka, your costumes were awesome. We ran into several problems including navigating by map. We took the Glamis route and the fuel pump crapped out in Glamis. We had to limp out of there. All in all it was good times and I wish I could be around for another go. I am moving to Germany in 2 months so I will be looking for a European Rental Car Rally. That would be a good time if anyone wants to put that in Pants' ear. Sorry I never wrote back on here, I am recovering from what I guess is AIDS from either the beach or those dome things. Mike (the orange tuxedo) wants to do it again if anyone is interested. He could use a better navigator than me for sure!
