Wow, sad...!!! I spent quite a bit of time over my years directly or indirectly involved in several Gurney programs. Gurney has always been a tremendous gentleman with one ambition, "Winning in every aspect of his life" which he accomplished.

God Bless the entire Gurney family...!!!

My favorite bike pre BMX was my Dan Gurney Eagle I believe it was called.

I had the very same bike, although heavy it was major eye candy back in 76. they also had a mono shock version if I remember correctly

I still have my Dan Gurney BMX bike that I got for my 7th birthday. I'm 48 now. Growing up in Riverside and spending many days at Riverside Raceway, Dan Gurney was always an influential icon. RIP Dan Gurney and thanks for your innovation.
