Saw Hall Racing at Vorra many times, first years were 6.2 diesels and 2-3 years later was the gasoline v-8's.
The speed picked up, Width was a problem and had to put wheels on rock walls to get thru the pass.
They also ran nitrogen bottles to have air for the tires in chase trucks

So I see the T-handle shifter as the poster said was in the first prototype build that ran Virginia City as a test bed for the following racers and this became the prerunner. So it never raced Baja?t preran and chased?
Correct, this particular truck was raced once at the Vorra Virginia City race the relegated to prerunner chase truck and driving school duties. It was never fitted with a fuel cel while I was around it. It is indeed, or at least we were told when it was delivered to us, the very first civilian market Hummer produced. It had an actual interior and was 12volt, and had side impact doors unlike the military trucks.

Ironically enough we were told many many times the Hummer was to wide and would never be raceable. A Hummer is 86” wide. Narrow by today’s trophy truck standards. If memory serves me the Hummer was only slightly wider than Rod’s last big Dodge.

I can’t thank Jeff Furrier enough! He has been hard at work taking on this really cool project. Thanks again to all that have helped out so far, UPR, SOAZ, Geiser Brothers, and all the great info from RDC members!

Jeff had some time this week to work on the Hummer and he is kicking some serious butt on this project. He may have had a little trouble with one of the huge bypass shocks, nothing a few rolls of bounty and an extra half hour couldn’t fix! He hand polished the wheels back to incredible condition! I am going to add a few updates to some safety equipment. UPR now offers a killer first aid kit that I will install along with their fire system. Everyone should take a look at this stuff, it can save your life! More to come!

We decided to do a few updates for safety along the way, this includes some new PRP seats. We are extremely happy with how they came out!

I don’t think Jeff has reached out to him yet? I know he has disassembled all of the bypasses and thinks he can source most of the needed parts.

We decided although not original, it was important to have the co-driver be comfortable as well! Great job Jeff! Keep up the great work! I can’t express enough how UPR race supply has helped out with this build!!
