Rodger.... cant wait to see this jump contest... I will be on the sidelines drinking some of that sponsored "coopers" beer from Lightforce. Thanks for inviting us to Dumont Dunes, that was pretty impressive watching you and BJ tearing it up with your thrashed paddles! Any chance BJ will join you in Glamis for the jump competition????

Just a quick question for the lucky few who might know, which is best in the dunes, Trophy Truck or 1100hp buggy? Very cool pictures by the way, looking forward for the DVD. Finally, congrats on the Baja 1000 win Roger.

Roger...I am beyond Impressed to see you in a driving suit and wearing a helmet. EVERY guy I know that has been burned or whacked his head, did so while Screwing around in his race car, NOT racing. Class Act....and Congrats on your B1K Win!!
You beat me to it on this. I'm suprised it took 7 pages on this thread for someone to comment on it though. I'm also very impressed to see Roger wearing a fire suit and helmet. Way to be smart and responsible.

Congrats on the 1000 win.

Ran into a guy wearing a Roger Norman shirt yesterday at Taco Tuesday .. I stopped him and talked to him, he's with Lightforce.. can't remember his name though!~ I first met Mr. Norman at a CORR race, he was there with his family and every one of them was very friendly! Nice pics!~

2008 has been a GREAT year for the Norman crew! Congrats on all of your accomplishments and kudos to you for safety first!~

I didn't know it was a compitition? Are you putting up a large sum of cash or maybe a truck or something? We were planning to go out for fun. I would certainly take it more seriously if it involved some cash and prizes.

Let me know when you go. It would be great for a film I am working on.
Congrats on your victory, I know when you came through where we were pitting your truck sounded extremely health with only hundred miles left.

Many companies and racers I work with all wear their full gear when playing or filming. I think that most people have seen and know friends that got hurt. Or people are getting smarter and relizing whats different about racing and playing other than you dont have as many dumb people around when racing.

I would definately have the 1,100 HP buggy for the dunes! I would even choose the 900 HP buggy for duning over the Trophy Truck. The buggies are purpose built for the sand dunes. It's amazing that the Trophy Trucks can run in the dunes at all. Don't get me wrong, I had a blast duning the Trophy Truck. I had a dune buggy 25 years ago. It had 450 HP and wieghed less than 850 pounds with me in it. The frame was all aluminum so it had no strength and would crack every trip. It was great for duning and racing at the hill and that's about it.

Roger first off I want to give you a congrats on your 1000 win! You are one to look out for next year for a run at the points!

Now I have a couple questions for you, any chance of you racing Parker next year? I know it is extremely close to Laughlin, etc. but I think you are running the ex. Enduro truck at Laughlin so possibly another one at Parker?

I havent seen the Enduro TT since during the build of our TT and we went of to Smith and Ashley's shop to get some ideas from them, must have since we went with the single seat design:)

Again congrats on your 1k win, well deserved!
We will not be racing any of our trucks at Parker, but I am available. We are thinking about running two trucks at Laughlin. We will run the Nevada 1000 if we can get our new shop dialed in the next couple months.

Keith will be out to throw down some shrimp and sangas on the barbie. Maybe even a few beers NO Fosters (camels p%$$)! Only Coopers Ale from downunder...
We are going to Glamis on Presidents Weekend and staying in the Gecco Camping Area. This is a fun trip only. Rides will be given to those who have volunteered on the Norman Motorsports Team in 2008.

Nice photos. Now let's see the killer video. Geez, i wish someone would have clued me in. I would have been all over Dumont on my bike, shooting video. Next time some desert bigshots head to Glamis or Dumont to jump and rip around, call me and I will be there. Just rained here in Western CO, making the muddy desert unrideable.
Hi Doug, You asked for it and here it is. When we go to Glamis we should be able to find some jumps that will get about three times the altitude. We could'nt find a good spot at dumont but I'm sure DV will show us where to go. It was a good time anyways.

www.vimeo.com search for Roger Norman, there are a few video to choose from but the one with all the Dumont Dunes footage is called Trophy Truck Porn.

If you are headed out to Glamis for Presidents Day Roger then I will see you there. It will be interesting to see what three times my hp and twice my suspension can do on some of the bigger hits. I may need a handicap. jajaja!! Good Times brother!!

Awsome video, thanks for sharing. BJ's buggy seems like it could be really fun or scary, depending on how you treat the throttle.
