This weekend will be our first ever wheel-to-wheel only race, no time-trials. If you've raced at ROR before you know the safety rules are fairly simple, but if you plan on racing this weekend we are being alot more stringent on the safety requirements. Basically we are requiring the same rules imposed by MDR, Estero, etc. You will need window nets, current 5-point harnesses, a fire suit, fire extinguisher, fuel cell, roll-over plumbing, eye protection, brake light, etc. If you have a 1450 truck and want to race, you CAN remove your windshield, and you will have to duct tape over glass lights. The only exposed glass allowed, besides the windshield, will be the rear window.
It is actually expected to cool down by the weekend (only double digits?) but it will still be hot, so bring shade and WATER and chairs. We will have a food vendor there. Sorry, no alcohol is allowed in the facility. The gates open at 6:30 for racers, 7 for spectators. we are expecting a great turn-out as the phone has been ringing non stop for a month. Lots of old pace/mickey thomson cars getting dusted off for this race. We will have classes for everyone, no matter what kind of race car. The entry fee is $75 to race, 75% goes to payback. The gate fee is the usual $10 for EVERYONE. Parking is outside, unless you have a race car (please only 1 car per race car through the gate, we are expecting ALOT of racers) or a special need. All the racers will get a practice session and at least two races. We are gonna try to run a 15 minute race every 30 minutes, so it will be a full day of racing. If you've been there before, we will be running the "short" (1 mile) course. I think that about sums it up. I can answer questions here or you can call, but call soon, as we will be at the track thrus and friday all day. Thanks for your support...greg

The ROR is always action packed and tons of fun. If you've never been it is time, this Saturday will be awesome. This is the most fun you can have for $10. There's always a lot of people from RDC there, it a good place to finally put a face to the screen name. There's a food vendor and bathrooms so the girls like it too. They even let you bring your own nonalcoholic drinks, chairs, and e-z-ups. Greg and Jen put a lot, I mean a lot, of work into these events and you can't truly appreciate that or the amount of fun the ROR is unless your there.

Check out the attached ROR action

Count the Blue Coyote in.
After a disappointing 14.5 miles at the MORE 250 due to a big rock taking out the rear end, we have a severe need for some race action. This seems like lots of fun!

Has anybody entered a 1/2 1600 or equivalent for this race? Also, how many "heats" do you estimate someone could get in? I was going to Plaster City to get my codriver some seat time, but this could be a fun change, but I have to convince him he will get enough time behind the wheel to make it worth while. Thanx

Kit Racer, Im not sure if you noticed the ad in Dusty Times this month, but it was paid for by a bunch of 1/2 1600 and super 1600 racers. At our last event we had a handful and they really liked the course (so much that THEY bought the ad) I cant confirm too much at this point , but there seems to be 1600 racers coming from at least 3 states as of now.

Actully there is alot of room to spectate up near the "staging" area, but its not a good veiwing area for the jump champs. Plu, that is by far our biggest spectator event. To some of the people that are familiar with the facility, I set up an area where the trucks usally stage to put ez-ups and such, You can see the whole course from up there, its just farther to the food and rest rooms.
Kit, we'll see you there. If there is anything I can do for you just pm me or get my # off our website and give my a ring.
