San Diego State Aztec Baja BNS Brewing Event

If anyone here in San Diego is looking for something to do tomorrow after work, Friday (October 26th), come check out SDSU Aztec Baja from 6pm – 9pm at BNS Brewing, in Santee.

I know there are a few Baja SAE alumni from some other universities floating around on here, but for those who don't know, essentially the Baja SAE series is a collegiate competition where engineering students are tasked with designing and building a single-seat race car with a spec 10 horsepower motor; which truly emphasizes the importance of power to weight ratio and total system efficiency. The competition itself is 4 days long and has a varying range of events, including but not limited to - a sales presentation, a design presentation which heavily focuses on the engineering cycle and design validation, a series of dynamic events, and ends with a 4 hour endurance race on a 2 mile +/- long course.

Last season, we achieved our best Competition Results to date and ended up finishing as the best school overall on the West Coast. We would like to take this time to share our successes from last season, as a thank you to all of our sponsors/San Diego community for their support throughout the years. This is Aztec Baja's 8th official year, and the club is very much on the rise. For the 3rd consecutive year, we will be running all three 2019 competitions, which leaves us with some heavy traveling to do.

This will be our 2nd time hosting this family friendly fundraiser, and it will be very similar to a Dezert People premier. It will consist of an offroad vehicle display, including four of Aztec Baja's previous race cars, BNS brew, limited Aztec Baja apparel, a silent auction, and a raffle to end the evening - with the raffle grand prize being a ride in McMillin Racing’s Trophy Truck #83, while testing.
Hope to see some of you out there!
