The sports not dying, but that many races and promoters is killing the sport. Imagine how many cars would be at every race if their was only like 2 promoters like in the past.

jack-your sarcasm is killing me! really! but think of it this way... sure there are tons of races, you can probably race 26 times a year or more if you have the cash. but each of those races will be happy to see 80 entries with a few exceptions. this makes it harder for each promoter to be anything other than getting by by the skin on their teeth. think what car counts would be if there was only 1/3 as many races? how much more press would a race with 250 cars get over a race that has 80-100? how many more people and dollars would be generated if the races attended by fans were vacations instead of day trips? see the correlation between too many promoters and race dates and the health of the sport? there may be a ton of dates, but there won't be a ton of racers at any of these events, not like there was before the proliferation of promoters. and i remember when people used to complain when there was only score, hdra, amsa, snore, and silver dust!

If your gonna go, go BIG

That is my point, if any one could (wanted) to cover all those races it would take a complete department to do. I agree there should be less promoters, and consolidate some races. It's a good thing I don't see any LaRana dates on there. If they want to get back in they should look at where they can make somthing egsisting beter not to split the "racer pie" any further.
