SCORE Henderson\'s Terrible 250 on History Channel

FYI, the History Channel will be showing a segment on the SCORE Henderson's Terrible 250 Desert Race tonight. It is part of the new program Tactical to Practical. It will show how 4 wheel drive vehicles have evolved from military to recreational use. One disclaimer, the producer said he thought this was the episode that it was in. If this is not it, sorry for the false alarm.

Please see the attached press release for more details. It is in the first segment called HumVee.

The first episode of TACTICAL TO
PRACTICAL sets the stage for the series'
high-action, high-tech, and high-adventure
approach to military technology and civilian
application. The first episode features:

NEW SERIES: TACTICAL TO PRACTICAL

Premiering Tuesday, September 9 at 9pm/8c
with new episodes every Tuesday at 9pm/8c

Developed for tactical advantage. De-classified
for practical use

The first episode of TACTICAL TO
PRACTICAL sets the stage for the series'
high-action, high-tech, and high-adventure
approach to military technology and civilian
application. The first episode features:

Humvee—The Army has always needed
heavy-duty four-wheel drive vehicles to
handle rough terrain transportation,
but few vehicles can match the
impressiveness of the Humvee.
This armored workhorse was introduced
in the late 1970's and became an
essential piece of battlefield technology.
With the growth of civilian off-roading
and the SUV craze, the Hummer quickly
became the number one selling SUV in
America. Hunter Ellis takes some hard-core
driving lessons in vehicles that boldly
explore unforged turf in both horizontal
AND vertical modes. Also explored in this
segment is the high-tech future of
four-wheeling, embodied by the
"SmarTruck"—an urban SUV with explosive
attitude.
