Then it's time for a better tracking system (which exists). Or smarter people to set up check points locations. There's no reason to stop. We pay for trackers yet we have to stop so someone can write down numbers, and hopefully they wrote it down right in the moment. If SCORE is begging for volunteers on Instagram, makes you wonder if the check points with safety concerns, or maybe even all the check points for that matter, are ran by inexperienced volunteers.

A lot of the old experienced SCORE volunteers were chased away by the "new" SCORE way of thinking ....old experience means nothing to them.............we had a lot of fun back in the day tho .....great memories !!! But do miss being out there on race day !!!! Volunteered for years, it's never an easy job, hats off to those who worked this race....it was a hot one !!!!

The BLM mandated a ridiculous amount of volunteers for this race. Just on Evan Hughes alone the BLM "wanted" a person every 100' feet. The request for volunteers was for that.

Just hand out a volunteer t-shirt to every other spectator - problem solved

Just watched the IV 250 telecast on CBS Sports Network . Another great job . ;)

Would have been better to sit in the desert and watch it live as it happened, but BLM thinks we're too stupid to do that properly (and of course that might take a few dollars out of Marty Coyne's pocket, which would be terrible, I'm sure).
