URGENT
SCORE PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Race Will Go on...

SCORE would like to acknowledge and make a statement concerningthe
tragedies that took place on September 11, 2001. America is in a state
ofdespair at this time and all we can do is be there for one another and
continueto offer our thoughts, prayers and condolences.

There are no answers to our questions and no understanding to thereason
behind this insanity. Many lives have been affected by thishorrendous act
against our country. Our thoughts and prayers go out especiallyto the people
of New York City, Washington DC, and the family and friends ofthose on the
four airplanes.

We are all sitting, watching, and waiting for the final outcome.
However, as a desert racing family we can do something to help some of
ourfellow Americans who are in desperate need at this time. On Friday,
September14, we are attempting to have a blood drive during contingency at
the SCORE LasVegas Primm 300 race at Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino.

Racers, race teams, staff, family, friends and spectators it is so important
toshow your support during a time like this. More details on the blood drive
willbe posted as arranged.

In regards to the race, we are following the direction ofPresident Bush
that America must not retreat in the face of terrorism. Therefore, the SCORE
Las Vegas Primm 300 race will be held as scheduled onSaturday. While we
continue to grieve with America, SCORE will honor all ofthose impacted by
this incredible tragedy with the running of this race as atribute to them and
our great country.

Way to go SCORE

I only wish that I could be at PRIMM, not only for the race but also to help out the many people that need it. I can't wait until we catch the people that did this and shove some good old-fashioned American sunshine up their A**. God Bless America.

Keep it shiny side up and oily side down.

It was the intent of those "faceless cowards" to inturrupt our lives and make us live in fear. I believe that continuing the race as scheduled is the best thing we can do. I expect to see long lines of people waiting to give blood.

Way to go Sal.

God bless America!

Thank you SCORE for the announcement. I certainly agree we must carry on!

I just received a call from TOM WILLIS. Tom asked me to post this since he is not near a computer right now.

Tom has U.S. FLAG STICKERS (4"x5") for distribution at the PRIMM 300. Tom stated that these stickers will be distributed to racers and anyone else for FREE. Tom works for SCORE and will be in contingency Friday, working the starting line for the PreRun and working the MiniMetal Bash Staging. Please feel free to get your stickers from Tom at those places. He will be distributing all the remaining stickers in the grandstands prior to heading out for his course assignment near Checkpoint 3. Show your support for America by displaying the flag on your race vehicle, prerunner or any other vehicle.

Feel free to extend an invitation to Tom that he is more than welcome to hand out the U.S. Flag stickers from our booth (Tony Barraza Designworks, Ntense Tees, and RDC) on contingency row.

Thanks!

You hear the complaints and wants of people in here on this board, and its really insignificant. Compare to whats happening in New York/ Manhatten area, and Washington D.C., where lives are at stake. I'll give blood @ contingency. My thoughts go out to all those involved. Also I know old time SCORE/ BITD Class 8 racer Dave Westhem is an accountant that lives and works there. He used to live in La Jolla, Ca., but the opportunities in New York worked for him and I know he moved there. Maybe a CPA out there with Off-road racing as a hobby might know more?????

I took time out today, while running errands for PRIMM preparation, to buy some American flags. I'll be flying a small 4"x6" flag on my 6 ft tall CB antenna on my van. I also got a 12"x16" flag for $2.00, & a 3' x 5' flag for $12.

TV showed that Wal Mart is selling American Flags brisquely, 100 times the normal rate. I would encourage people to raid their local Wal-Mart for some American flags.

Here's a chance to turn a Negative into a Positive: have a show of American Soiidarity at PRIMM 300. It looks like it will be one of the FEW sporting events which will be carrying on. Major League Baseball is postponed thru Friday, possibly longer. (many sports are still postponed similarly) NYSE also closed thru Friday. Airports still closed, with only a few flights outbound.

I would recommend to anyone with media connections (like Paige), to possibly get a TV crew out to PRIMM (say from LAs Vegas), to run a story on Americans who are "keeping their chin up, & moving forward". Tnis would be great publicity for Off Road Racing, when it needs it the most. Ironically, we would be taking advantage of someone else's sorrow/disaster, to do this. But, that's the way the ball bounces in Life

Also consider donations to the Red Cross.

As many of us have heard today. Only rare blood types are being called for.

The Red Cross is a non-profit organization that is always there to help Americans in time of need. Think of their expendatures alone just to help the families of the public safety members killed on Tuesday.

Will someone post more info here on blood donations at contingency? Also, what are the times for contingency?

I AM THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

I am the flag of the United States of America. My name is Old Glory. I fly
atop the world's tallest buildings. I stand watch in America's halls of
justice. I fly majestically over institutions of learning. I stand guard
with power in the world. Look up and see me.

I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice. I stand for freedom. I am
confident. I am arrogant. I am proud.

When I am flown with my fellow banners, my head is a little higher, my
colors a little truer.

I bow to no one! I am recognized all over the world. I am worshipped - I am
saluted. I am loved - I am revered. I am respected -- and I am feared.

I have fought in every battle of every war for more then 200 years. I was
flown at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Shiloh and Appomattox. I was there at San
Juan Hill, the trenches of France, in the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome and
the beaches of Normandy, Guam, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Korea, KheSan, and Saigon.
Vietnam knows me, I was there. I led my troops, I was dirty, battleworn and
tired, but my soldiers cheered me And I was proud. I have been burned, torn
and trampled on the streets of countries I have helped set free. It does not
hurt, for I am invincible.

I have been soiled upon, burned, torn, and trampled on the streets of my
country. And when it's by those whom I've served in battle -- it hurts. But
I shall overcome -- for I am strong.

I have slipped the bonds of Earth and stood watch over the uncharted
frontiers of space from my vantage point on the moon. I have borne silent
witness to all of America's finest hours. But my finest hours are yet to
come.

When I am torn into strips and used as bandages for my wounded comrades on
the battlefield, When I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldier, Or when I
lie in the trembling arms of a grieving parent at the grave of their fallen
son or daughter, I am proud.

MY NAME IS OLD GLORY.

LONG MAY I WAVE.

DEAR GOD IN HEAVEN, LONG MAY I WAVE.
