Any Volunteers perhaps willing to drive a Range Rover (sorry its a '99) on Thursday from El Golfo to Puerto Lobos? Then Friday to Bahia Kino? Happy to haul whatever fits for folks and pay a stipend plus food etc. Thanks for the consideration, Mario

This year we are introducing online live timing to follow the progress of the rally. Mike Johnson has made great progress in advancing the Rally Comp device, and now has live timing which includes intermediate checkpoints, similar to the Dakar online timing system. A preliminary test was run with a few units during the recent Sonora rally school, and found it worked well. This image gives an idea what you'll see, though we were still experimenting so this sample is not complete. Check the Live Results page on the Sonora Rally website to follow the rally live. Like Dakar, due to the secrecy of the course there will not be map-based position tracking available to the public.

Here is the four page map to the Registration hotel in San Luis Rio Colorado, plus the Parc Ferme and race Start location at nearby El Bosque park. This is a different hotel than we have used in the past, though still very close to the border crossing.

Four page PDF map

Don't forget to fill out the Customs Form asap.
