This seems like a fairly economical way to track a race vechicle during a long race. We are thinking of trying it for the upcoming Vegas-to-Reno race. It's unlikely the pit crews would have good wireless internet coverage out there ( I guess, but I dont really know). I guess it would depend on the coverage so you could check the web-site ?

Anybody using this:

Just curious -

IRC is required at BITD events and can be tracked online.

NoBrakes,

Do you know if IRC tracking is required for bikes (sportsman) ? Also, based on the IRC website it looks like the system that allows live tracking is pretty complicated (with regard to mounting on a bike) compared to just the "recorder".

Thanks, Eric

Not sure for bikes, but all cars and utvs, even sportsman, have 'em. Check out: racetheworld.net and bitd.com

PAB has used Spot extensively on Mex bike trips and Matt(Kartman on RDC) is a dealer, I believe.
