I looked all over the internet, but could not find any good references to the characteristics of the following steel tubing types:
DOM, CRW, WHR, WCR, ERW.

Could someone in-the-know please point me to an internet reference which defines the strength as well as advantages/disadvantages of each of these tube forming processes when used in a roll cage installation?

Is this correct:
DOM= Drawn Over Mandrel
CRW= Cold Rolled Welded
WHR= Welded Hot Rolled
WCR= Welded Cold Rolled
ERW= Electric Resistance Welded
????????

Thanks.

Happy motoring, Tim

Kris, somehow you keep dropping the '/', no big deal though......

My metals ref guide lists "CDS" (Cold Drawn Seamless), "HREW" (Hot Rolled Electric Welded), and "DOM" (Drawn Over Mandrel). I think you'll find almost as many descriptions for the same type of tube as there are mills that make that type.
