I was wondering if anyone has built up the steering stops on a ranger to prevent the tires from rubbing on the radius arms?If not does anyone think its possible or ok to weld on the spindle ?

I did that and it lasted a whole 10 minutes before I cut them off...

Wider beams solved the rubbing problem...you can get some rad. arms that are bent to clear the bigger tires, but I wouldnt suggest putting the stops on.

whats the worst that could happen? you would end up like Kritter and cut them off! I had to make them on my first f150 cuz the tire would turn so sharp the caliper would hit the shock bolt pushing the caliper piston in and causing me to pump the brakes back up after sharp turns the firts time it happended I went over a curbstop in a shopping center and hit a tree! I bailed before the cops showed up!.....Mike

I welded them up today it only took about 1/8" to keep them from rubbing we measured the turning radius and no change.Oh well it works for me
