Stock full spring questions

Have some questions about stock full rules and springs. I have a rule book and have done a lots of searching but am still unsure about some things. First, can the coil springs on a late model Chevy be replaced with coil over shocks? Also, can the rear leaf springs be replaced with leaf springs that provide a lift that is different from the stock springs?(for example deavers with a 2" or 4" lift). Thanks for any help.

You can replace the springs with custom springs but it has to be the same concept. You can change the leafsprings to a different rate, number of leaves, etc but you have to keep it leafsprung and use the stock pivots/shackles. You can put a custom wound coil spring up front but you have to use the stock spring bucket. A coilover would be a different concept so no you cannot use one. The stock front spring is one of the biggest limiting factors in our Dodge.

Another Stock Full question. It is my understanding the rear shocks can go through the truck bed but not higher than the sides. How about the front shocks? Can they go through the wheel well and attach to the cage?
