Last question of this interview pretty much seals the deal.
"is Eli Tomac going to race for Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha in 2021?
I can’t really talk about that right now, so no comment. "

It's official. Tomac is leaving Kawasaki after the Nationals. Apparently Star hired a technician that Eli worked with a few years ago and Tomac wants to work with him again.

This is gonna be a crazy silly season.

Plessinger could be staying or going to KTM.

Anderson could be staying at Husky, going to Star Yamaha or going to a new team that Bobby Hewitt is rumored to be starting.

Malcolm Stewart has been offered some factory rides for SX and MX next year.

Christian Craig was supposed to move up to the 450 for Star, but since he got hurt they're keeping him on the 250.

It's Eli's mechanic from when he was with Factory Connection. Good short listen. I thought on the pulp mx show last Monday that Craig was still going to ride the 450? They also made it sound like it was pretty much a done deal with AP going to KTM. Also said kawi and Anderson have been in talks.

It was sad watching Tomac this season. Seems his heart just wasn't in it. Maybe he knew he was leaving and didn't care anymore.

Good battle between Webb and Rocksen throughout the season. Would like to have seen Rocksen be more consistent and pull out the championship. Maybe next year.

Wish Anderson would have been a bigger player. He had a few good rides.

Nice to see BamBam and Mookie in the mix.

Yamaha is setting up to rule the American MX/SX world in 2022 with the riders they are fielding.
Eli isn’t going over there for more money…now things start to make sense how he hasn’t been the same guy the last 2 championships.
If Yamaha allows him to make the changes and settings he needs to feel comfortable, we could very well see him end up with both titles next year and maybe even bring the #1 plate to Yamaha with some new inspiration this summer.
Im glad to see this switch because it means there is still something there and he still wants to win. He could have mailed in 2 more years of top 3 championships on Kawi with his eyes closed, as demonstrated in 20 MX and 21 SX.

At least this should make things more interesting, he has been pretty boring.

Saw two Lucas Oil Pro Motocross haulers headed west in Illinois today on my way back from Kansas to Indiana. Outdoors can't get here fast enough!!!
