mmmm i havent heard much of the floats, id rather use something thats already proven to last, like elka or axis, but we'll never find out if no one tries them out. the laegers should hold

If class 1 buggies and such run them and they seem to last, they should last for a quad.

I'm not sure if fox floats would take all the punishment they are going to go through in a 1000+ mile race. I think they are made more for mx and short distance racing. But nobody has done it yet so who knows. You should contact them and tell them you want to race them in the 1000. They might go as far as kicking you down a set or giving you a really good deal. Personally, for the 1000, I wouldn't use anything that hasn't been proven to last the whole race. Specially suspension. I would suggest you look into TCS Suspension. That is what I used for last years 1000 and they held up great.

I dont think fox floats are being used in class 1 cars. Or at least I havent seen them yet.

I meant to say if Class 1 buggies run fox shocks and I run them on my truck then they should work well on a quad. Yeah looks like they are only for MX'ing oh well I will get a set of Elka long travel shocks.

If you go with ELKA you will most likely end up revalving them. I recomend you go with TCS. Their valving is spot on. I can honestly say that you will like them as soon as you bolt them on. Plus, they have great customer service and they dont cost as much as ELKA.

What is the best suspension kit for a 2005 raptor 660 for the baja1000 and desert riding? Money is no problems looking to get a foot and a half of travel out of the kit as well. Thanks for the help.

That has 16 in the front and 18 in the rear. dont get the fox floats. My budy had the floats and one of them blew in half at the parker 250. thats only a 1/4 of what you plan on doing. Go with custom axis or tcs.

I dont think SRP has a website but here is who you should contact:
    James Woodford
    Sundahl Racing Products
    760-429-8417

As for the ELKA shocks? I wouldn't buy from them. Their valving usually isn't that good. I hear of a lot of people having to send them back to get revalved. I would prefer going with something like TCS or AXIS. They get the right valving the first time they send you their shocks.

Yeah, the only way they sell their kits is in complete frame/arms/swing arms kit. I dont think they will offer it for the raptor any time soon.
