If you find out more info please let me know also. I am currently looking for a wrecked or used 2wd X-cab Tacoma to build as a new prerunner. I will need bedsides for it that are very wide. With the rear end out of my race truck that I will probably be using, it measures almost 76" from the outside of one tire to the other. I would like them to fit inside the wheel openings on full compression.
The bedsides for a Tacoma listed on Hannemans site says they are a 3" bulge. I know that probably won't be enough. Can someone on here with Hanneman or Glassworks bedsides measure with inside width of your bedsides, from one side to the other at the widest point? Thanks.

Right now I have early 80's Ranger bedsides on my Toyota race truck that have a 5 or 6" bulge and I had to cut the openings larger because the are just barely to narrow. http://www.jdfab.com/forsale/new-4.jpg When I bought the bedsides I couldn't find early Toyota ones for a longbed so I got the Ranger ones and made them work.

Those front Tacoma fenders look like they have a larger opening than most I have seen. Do you think they are cut or does someone else make those?

Does anyone have pics of the one piece front end for a Tacoma? The one with the fenders, hood and grill as one piece.

I would say your best bet for bedsides Curtis would be to go with the CORR style ones...Boatec makes them I believe. Those will have the biggest flare.

Yes those fronts look cut up to me.

I think that the ProTrux truck on their website has that one piece front end. There is a link on RDC.

Curtis, I will measure the rear of our truck tomorrow when I am there. We have the Tacoma bed sides from Hannaman and what not on our truck. We are running a Ford 9" that I think is wider than stock with 33x10.50s on it.

This one? http://www.protrux.net/photos/fiestaisland-2wdside.jpg

It looks like a 89-95 truck with the Tundra conversion maybe? On Hanneman's site they only list the one piece setups for up to 89-95, nothing for 96 to current. But I am sure they have to make them. I like the one in that pic if its the Tundra style.

Yeah thats the one. Also, if you look back a few pages on the readers rides, there is a Taco with the same one piece front end also.

Yes thats the Tundra one piece on all the Protrux's Trucks . I have seen the Tacoma on a truck somewhere but I forget where....

Here is the older style Toyota in reader ridez with just the regular taco stuff but not one piece:

Never mind, the truck in readers rides doesn't have a one piece front end on it. Its just 02 glass on an 88 or 89 taco. Sorry! Fish is right though, I have seen a one piece taco front end somewhere I swear!

Looks like Boatec has a 7" flare bedside. http://www.boatec.com/ They say max width rear for that bedside is 68". But what is that measurement, outside to outside of the tires or to the wheel stud flange on the rear end? I hope its for the rear end and not the tires.

I would think 7" would clear because if you have 5-6" now then 7" should fit.

Heck if you want it says their F150 bedsides will go 91" lol....just get creative again like you did with the ranger sides. It actually looks like the body lines might be pretty close...look at these 2 pics and the lines look almost the same:

I will be getting bedsides soon also so I am trying to deciede what to get.

Hey if you can, keep an eye out down there for a 2wd Xcab V6 Tacoma. I have been looking all over and it seems like a hard truck to find. I would prefer a wrecked truck for under $4k, but would pay $5k - $6500 for a used one with high miles on it or other minor probs.

I sent Boatec an e-mail for the prices on their Tacoma bedside and fenders. I will post it here when I get them.

JDFAB, I would try Mini Trucks in Downtown San Diego (619) 233-3884. They buy and sell all mini truck parts (and vehicles I think). I bought my stock body mounts from them and the are super cheap! Or try Otay Mesa Auto wrecking yard in Chula Vista

Thanks, I just called Mini Trucks and they don't have anything. He said a 2wd with a V6 will be harder to find than a 4wd. But either way it would cost $2500 - 6000 for a rolled or wrecked truck. He said if I went down there with cash he could go to auctions and find me a truck. But that isn't easy since I live up north.
I would rather pay Dan Vance to find me a truck at a dealer auction. So if you read this Dan, keep looking for me...... ;)

I have the 3" Glassworks on my Tacoma. I just measured from the inside of the bedside to the farthest out the flare goes and it was 7". I'm running stock rear end with 33x12.5x15 (with like 3" backspacing on rims) and they stuff perfectly. So if you go with the wider rear end you'll definalty need to get a bigger flare or trim like crazy.
