Team Associated factory driver and test pilot Richard Saxton jumped his RC8B 137 feet off and custom built ramp just off the main straight at Sunday's Lucas Oil offroad race in Lake Elsinore.

In this picture (Thanks Kartman) you can see the BLUE Team Associated banner in the background just under the Lucas Oil logo, Richard is photographed right at the landing spot.......It really puts the 137 feet into perspective!

The buggy landed on all four wheels and DROVE AWAY!

Way to go Richard, the furthest ever RC jump to dirt! See us try to break that at the next Lucas Oil race in Lake Elsinore.

Wow!

Wonder how fast he was going before he hit the ramp.....
Somewhere in the low to mid 50's. The traction was a bit sketchy up to the ramp.

Saturday, the jump went OK but not great. Didn't break a single part however, we ONLY went 103 feet.

On Sunday is when everything worked perfect.......After he landed the 137+ foot jump.....on the wheels, he then drove it out onto the straight of the real track and took a shot at the second tabletop......landed it perfect and took one more shot at the big ramp were he pulled off and HUGE back flip, once again landing on all four wheels and drove it away unharmed.

Cool, it was so hot, we packed up early after my race, just could not take it anymore.
