The Mint400 was awesome, but no so kind to us. We broke at RM47. Just a huge shout out to the all BITD volunteer(s) and especially BlueJeep dude who drove us to where our team could pick us up. Also appreciate the friendly advice man!

I would like to 2nd that. We broke just up the road and BITD volunteers(not BlueJeep but a dark grey Tundra) were there before we could get triangles out. We were sitting totally sideways in the course and they got us drug off the course before any one had a chance to hit the truck and then shuttled me out for parts twice. Would have been a much longer day without their help. Thanks guys.

Kgorman,
More than welcome. Since we were not racing the next best thing is working the race and helping others. We had a great time and it kept us busy all day.

A little story of our day doing retrievals that some may find entertaining:
During our last minute food shopping Friday before heading out to Jean we were hit up to buy some Girl Scout cookies. Can't turn down the girl Scouts so we bought a box of thin Mints. In our sorted minds we did not buy them to eat, but instead we took them out with us on retrievals. Our goal was that every time we got to a car that needed retrievals and who threw in the towel and took the strap, the driver and co-driver got rewarded with a bottle of water and a cookie. Then it was explained that since they had a short day at the Mint, they in turn got a "Thin Mint" for their efforts. All took it in stride and got some good laughs over it. Needless to say we were out of cookies around 10:30 pm. Got some good pictures of them holding them up like medals, but we will have to keep those off of the internet to protect the innocent. LOL
