The 5th annual dusty times 250 is coming up June 7th in caliente NV. It is the most fun race you will ever race or spectate. Start finish is on main St., main pits are in the middle of town. The elevation of the start is 4500 ft and it climes to 7800 ft. the track has 4 water crossings and they are the best spectator areas in desert racing, go to go-desert videos and look at dusty times 250. there are big sand washes old logging roads and the hill that brings you back into town just past the fire station and 2 bars. in June the high temp in town will be in the 80s, out on the track in the trees it will be 60s to 70s. At this race the KARTCK bonus class is heavy metal with 10 trucks in class the guaranteed 1st place money is $2500. The town only has 200 motel rooms so they are all gone, but there are plenty of places to camp. Saturday night after the awards the knotty pine casino will have a barbecue and the is a battle of the bands. If you have to much to drink its 250 yards back to main pits. Hope to see some of you there you will be glad you came.

I thought you were suppose to go slow through the water so as not to get everything wet?

I couldn't open that last attachment. Is it just me?

Hey JrSyko I think your right about going slow. Last Baja 1000 we hit the water pretty fast after Coco's in a 9 car. Screwed everything up. All the gauges were off and lost the intercom/ radio for a good hour until it finally dried out. Not to mention the chill factor at 9:30pm. Talk about cold!
