Who will be at the more \ snore battle of Barstow race in November . There is a $500 bonus for overall and guaranteed $2000 to 1st in class 10 and 1-2-1600, the entry fee is $310 . And in class 9 & 5-1600 $1500 is guaranteed to 1st with a $185 entry . Entry fee for the sportsman classes is only $25 . Looks like all the Vegas guys will be there to show they are the fastest desert racers . This is a chance for all of the California racers to get a crack a rob maccachren & Danny Anderson on your home turf . This race could be as big as the score fireworks race but only cooler .

The only thing I want is know is:
"Can you get the Reserve to bring out their buffet to the race?" It's one the best in the Vegas area.

We are planning on taking the prerunner to the race, and run it in heavy metal like the midnight special. We had fun at the midnight, and it is pretty cheap fun in between running the 8 truck at the bigger events. We had never been to a snore race before midnight, but all the people and the organization are first class.

WE are going to be running Class 9 along with at least 5 other local 9 drivers.
Don't know about any Vegas guys making the trip but it sounds like it could be real big turnout! Let's hear from all the Vegas guys as to their intent!!!!!!
This may be the last chance we have to put together a BIG race in this part of the Race World, because next year there will be 3 Promoters vowing for the same area (Barstow), MORE-MDR-LaRana
and they are only going to be given by the BLM, 4 races a year each, so unless they can combine their efforts like this Nov. MORE/SNORE race then we are going to see some changes not for the good!

So is this race going to be a big race for 5-1600 cars, our car has been sitting for a year now and we are getting tired of looking at it sit! We are still deciding if we should dust it off and go out and race with some new guys! Well anyways lets see how many 5-1600's we can get and if out money is ok we will try and be there also.

Responce and feedback to this race has been incredible! There could easily be 100+ cars starting this race and because this is a combined race with two money pools to shoot for a lot of the drivers we have spoken to over the last two weeks have expressed the desire to enter BOTH Races. The promoters are working out a plan to give those interested in running both races a break in fees!
Also several Drivers from other race Org. have called to say they are coming. All classes should be well represented as well as several sportsman classes. We have heard from at least 5 guys that are taking their "Retired" cars out of moth balls to make this race. should be fun for all! Keep the feedback coming in!

Hey RJ and Clifford, L&S is thinking of coming out. We still have a lot of repair since wadding it up at Ridgecrest, but we're thinking of coming out. Sounds like a cool deal. I'll keep you guys posted.

Will SNORE and/or MORE be posting an entry list on their websites? It seems like a lot of people will be there, but it would be nice to see who is actually entered.

I will personally contact Jim Clements from MORE and see if he can provide us with that info!
His web site is not as high tech as most but should be able to post an entry list. as you have probably read in other posts there are that I know of at least 25+ 1600s and 25+ 9 cars, have no detailed info on the other classes as of yet, SO lets see if we can get people committed to entering this race post their intentions right here on this page! Thanks Rob S.

Race Update
Latest info on the number of entries are, around 100 cars from the SNORE side and approx. 40 on the MORE side. Many drivers have expressed the desire to enter both races and all classes seem to be well represented, So this should really turn out to be a race for the History Books!

CORE is up to 12 cars as of now, and all I know of personaly is that "CHECKERS" and "FAIR" will be there. You might try and contact them directly to find out the details. CORE has no web site but you can reach them through Wayne Nosala- Wnosala@aol.com or fax# -818-703-0129.
If any one knows how to contact FAIR or CHECKERS directly let us know how? Rob S.

More says they expect 60+ cars . Snore says they expect 80+ cars . Rooms in Barstow are getting hard to find . It relay sucks that score would move the laughlin race on the Parker weekend because sal wants to kill the race

Plenty of rooms in Barstow left! just try the Ramada or Quality Inn. first, don't expect the Belagio though!
Race update: The BLM has made MORE change the course "AGAIN" so the map posted on the MORE web site is not valid. Should have new course map ready to post by next week in time to prerun on the 10th. with a marked course. Rob S.
