Is this car class 6? Or class 6-6-6?.. Either way, if you catch a glimpse of this grill all up in your rear view, grab your rosery beads and park at the next Mission you pass. She's got a carb full of vengeance and mercy splattered in the wheel wells.

And don't mess with her chase crew...They're almost as bad as those Checkers!....almost ;)

Kris, we didn't get more than 20 miles out of Ensenada on the 1979 1000 in #615, but did you have a photo of us before the diff and both drive axles (IRS) [Datsun 510] had a difference of opinion? Here. I am Prerunning before the race, near Escondido. Car was owned and built by Skip Ylhainen.

We were with the Los Campeones Racing Team. Included many Class 6 racers, several in AMC and
Jeepster Commandos such as John & Sully Pritchard, Andy Felix, Richard (tall mechanic). Class 5 and 7 vehicles from Mark Hansen and Malcolm Vinje.

There are currently a few of the old SCORE Class 6 production 2WD race cars at the Petersen Museum... The Bill Stroppe Ford Edsel, The Snortin' Nortins Chevy Nova, James Garner's Baja Manx buggy and the Bill Stroppe Ole Oly.... Worth checking out!
