They just sent me this tape so I could post a clip from Chuck's oj-board camera. (I guess people have been accusing him of contributing to #80 burning down) It starts out with Zoo road then it shows him nerfing #80 at 37mph. Looks like a normal tap to let him know he is there to me, then backs off... And #80 pulls out of the way just fine.

I see nothing wrong with that nerf, it looks like it was done perfectly. It does appear like he got on the brakes before hitting him because of the speed drop. If he were to have charged right through him with no sign to slow down then that might be a bit much. Only question I have is would we be able to hear a horn through the onboard camera mic? That could be the only reason that the other driver could complain, but that nerf was not out of control.

When that Datsun came by it was SLOW...Hovey came by HOT about 2 seconds behind and then a asnother 1 car right behind him just as HOT. 100 yards later Hovey nerfed the Datsun and went around as the Datsun pulled off...

I think the car behind hovey was going for a pass (blinded by the dust of Hovey and the Datsun) as well and went in the direction that the Datsun pulled off and clipped him and that is what put him on the lid...that is where the two nerfs came from.

Tap/Nerf same thing in my book...I am in no way blaming Hovey for anything. I said from the beginning if anybody is at fault it is the owner of the truck for running it in TT instead of Sportsman truck where it should have been running.

In my opinion, based on viewing the video, both drivers performed exactly as they should have.

A textbook nerf and pass.

The speed differential was so great a horn application would have been, at best, superfluous.

Just to clear up the record noone was blaming anyone for this incident. They were not sure of what happened and Rodd had asked me to get any footage I could just so he could see since he was not in the truck at the time.

Rodd or any of the crew never put blame on anyone.

the truck of fantellis should never have been raced in tt . With all the 1 cars coming up behind its an accident waiting to happen.

Ya they were origional told they could race it in class 8, but then they got to the tech and they told them the only place they could run it was in TT.....It has raced score before and the only place they have ever let it run was TT....it finished the 1000 in TT....
