After a tie rod costing us a finish at V2R and breaking tie rods again in an abbreviated test session heim joints are starting to look pretty good. It would make us ineligible for 7300 class, but I'd rather finish as a sportsman than DNF as a 7300. No one in the troop has ever done a heim conversion, however, so we're not really sure where to start. I'm hoping someone on here could point us in the right direction on what we need to do and where we can get the replacement equipment.

Machine your own tie rods and thread them for whichever size heim your plan to run. JMX12T or 14T would be the size you want to use. Drill the knuckle and double shear them. Nothing really to it.

What make is your 7300?

You can get the clevis you need to adapt a heim equipped tie rod to your rack from companies like Camburg and Blitzkrieg Motorsports as they produce them for their long travel kits.
