Can Someone please explain how to set the tow on my I beam F-150. I had some new ball joints put in and the guys at the shop set the tow way out. When I back up the truck now the ride height increases about 3" and vice versa when I pull forward.
This may sound odd but i set my tow with a trusty tape measure. I measure from the inside of the front of the tire then the inside of the back of the tire and shoot for about 1/8" of tow-in. This may also sound funny but to check it the front shouldn't rise or fall going forward or backward. Also, if you still have the stock steering set-up, that can adversely increase the error. Cross-over steering is one of the best handling imrovements i made to my truck.
