I want to get into racing, but dont have all that much $ but i got a bunch of time and and some 1/2 decent fab skills.
I was thinking of building a bug/prerunner and racing in the sportsmen class due to low funds and just going out and having a good time. I could build it slowly and drive it on the street as i build it!
What are you guys thoughts on this?
What are the actual rules for a sportsmen buggy? Score rulebook isnt too clear!
Thanks for the input!
Cool, thanks for the positive reply, glad to see i am not the only one with this idea!67BAJA said:I did exactly what some of you are talking about. I bought a baja, dumped a bunch of $$$ into it, and race sportsman class in Mojave Desert Racing. There is a point where a baja or buggy costs will catch up to the trucks, but unless you have $$$ to burn, go BUGGY. Best bang for the buck!
SUV's at least my bronco is great in the air and it is so much more comfortable and more powerful that some tin can on wheels. After breaking my Buggy many times and putting tones of money into it, I converted to the Bronco and it is a little more money but you got to pay to play with the big boys.Boston Mangler said:Yeah, Excellent Idea!
Anyone see a 7000lb SUV Get Airborn?
80 Series Landcruiser + Air = Ulgy Result!
