After re-packing the rear bearings on my 12 car, the main castle-nut was getting loose after pre-running. Tightened it, ran the race, now they are loose again. I can wiggle the wheel back and forth. Does this indicate a problem with bearings/spacers or do I just need to tighten again?

Thanks.

The spacer may need to be replaced, they crush.. Seems like they make an aftermarket spacer that's thicker walled tubing.. Been nearly 20 yrs since i've had one apart.. Race ready products should have what you need... Mike is very helpful!! Kartek also... Either will have what you need to get goin... Hope this helps

My drums are shot. All the play is in between the drum and the splines on the stub. Even with the nuts tight, it is going to wiggle.

Yup, had that happen a few times, Grease the splines aslo when replacing, seems to extend the longevity of them.
