anyone else see this article?<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/uniontrib/sun/currents/news_1c9truck.html>http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/uniontrib/sun/currents/news_1c9truck.html</A>
it had a big picture of a lifted nissan crashing into a jeep and went on to say how dangerous these lifted trucks were. The people in the jeep even sued trailmaster and they were found guilty.

I don't know about y'all, but I would have to surmise that maybe the alcohol might have had a little bit more to do with the cause of the accident than what the BS lawsuit was filed for. Why didn't the lawyer go chasing the bar, what about the makers of the alcoholic beverages?

not much sympathy for the dead guy either, he was loaded too drivin his family around.
I like how the lift company was found 65% responsible and the driver only 35%

Where the f*** does it say anything about the guy that died being loaded? And where does it say that "the bar" killed him? It said it bumper went 30 inches into the passenger compartment. I think both of you need to re-read the article.

I think that suing Trailmaster was inappropriate, but Mr. Franks got what he deserves.

The article did state that the man who died had a blood alcohol level of .10. But the bottom line is that it was the driver of the Nissans fault. People who put 4" Trailmaster lifts with 2" body lifts on a Nissan, usually are not the brightest people around.

If this is mostly about "vehicle compatibility" would it seem to reason that makers of say the Mini Cooper would be just as liable for any potential deaths because their cars are so small? If a bigger car/truck is more dangerous, wouldn't a smaller car be less safe?

Just wondering.

hey sites, maybe YOU should reread the article especially before you go calling people out saying THEY misread it!

heh, your right -- my bad :)

As for "the bar" remark, I thought he was referring to the bumper, not the place that you get drinks -- I think I need to get some sleep :)
