Pull the plugs and squirt some motor oil in there, crank it over by hand. Make sure first off that there is no foreign material in the intake track like bugs, birds, mice, etc.

We used Seam Foam fogging oil and it seemed to work fine.. . .ditto on the NO WD-40 thing.

Curious. Why no WD40? Kerosene hydrolock? Interesting block and head ventilation? Me, I just use a good ol' squirt of 30wt!

This may be alittle late but i always pull the plugs and crank it over with the starter about 4 times for about 20 seconds each time to get oil to the lifters and top end of motor. Just trying to pervent a big dry start.
