Last night I needed a break from the news so I turned the "Action" movie channel and they were showing one of the greatest movies of all time..."VIVA KNIEVEL!" (1978). The plot is that the motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel, played by himself, is lured to Mexico by drug dealers who plan to kill him and use his semi to bring drugs back into the US. The cast was pretty impressive for what seemed to be a low budget film: Evel Knievel, Gene Kelly (Evel's mechanic & mentor), Lauren Hutton (Evel's love interest), Lesley Nielsen (badguy drug dealer) and Frank Gifford (TV announcer).

The film was like an Elvis movie; motorcycles, butterfly collars & gold chains, cheesy fight scenes and chicks. It pretty much had it all. Evel even had a custom Cadillac with a truck bed to carry his favorite bikes. If you have a chance check this movie out.
