Guys, Do you have any recomendations on a book that will have specs and info on the 1600 motor/suspension and maybe other info that I can use? I want to buy something in the morning. I haven't worked on VW's since 74'!!
Thanks,

VW Paradise, in San Marcos CA, carries a bunch of manuals and how to books for all VW's. Their web site is "vwparadise.com"

The "factory" Bently manuals seem to be the most accurate and easy to use, but also pretty expensive.

My vote is also for the Bently. Robert Bently's are the best and are officially licensed by VW. Is the same info as factory shop manuals I used when working at dealerships. Cost is high, but worth it.

I'll triple that!!! The Bently manual is the best I've used. Mine is over twenty years old and starting to fall apart, but it still gets used.
