I'm definitely going to stay in school. I don't have to pay for any of it. I got a football scholarship so I don't need to worry about tuition costs.

thats how my son got his collage education was football. he finished with three degrees ,hes using his back up being a jr collage football coach and teaching so far.

I don't mean to get into personal information here, but I heard you make great money driving for FedEx. It was something I was considering checking out.

Well I work for the step child of FedEx in their freight division. Now the Express semi drivers make a top pay of 27 or 28 bucks an hour and their package guys make 24or 25 bucks top pay per hour. My top pay is less than the top pay of the package drivers. We just found out 2 weeks ago FedEx Freight is Merging with our division and between the Freight and National guys we are laying off about 1700 people and closing 100 terminals that overlap areas! If you are unemployed and have no strings (family, kids etc....) then I would look into the OTR (over the road companies) for a job. They will train you as long as you have a clean back ground (FBI and TSA if plan on getting your hazmat endorsements) and a clean record then you are easy to get in. They will train you and after you pass training you will go out with a trainer for a couple of weeks till he knows what you are doing. Most companies you will be out 2-3 weeks with about a week off in between! If these companies train you , you have to be with them for about a year or two or you have to pay for the classes you took if you take off after you get your license. One thing I would advise you to do is when you go take the test for your permit...take all the endorsements you can get (hazmat, Doubles and triples, Tanker and Passenger) cause in the long run just having more than one endorsement will help you better in getting a trucking job! If you need to ask anymore questions I am here to help!

I'm a plus size male model for Big and Tall. Pay sucks but the free oversize Tommy Bahamas shirts are awsome.

I am a Fixed Op Director at a Dealership. Not having a degree has been huge. I have gone as far as I am going to go. If I would have listened to my dad, I would be making at least a 100k a year more. Stay in School, hell there are no jobs anyway right now.
