If anyone has an old Alcoa 5x5.5 15" wheel I'd like to buy it for a display. Also like to find an old knock off spindle/nut for same. Ok if threads buggered up since it's for display.
Sounds like a cool display. How did those knock off spindle nuts work? That photo of the Robby Gordon f150 I posted above looks like it had something like a knock off holding the wheels on. Is that correct?

I have some cast procomp 15x7, 5x5.5 bolt patter drilled for 11/16 studs and machined to accept the big truck lug nut. I need to sell. Moved to 40’s. Don’t need. There mounted on Goodyear Kevlar mtr’s, 35’s. Cheap. Probably got 8. A few tires chewed up. A few real good shape.

Pm me. Come see, bring cash. In Fontana, Ca.

The absolute best wheel of that vintage is a Alcoa forged race wheel. The disc is different then production to use the wide lug nut and the seating flanges that the bead of the tire mount to are about a 1/2 thick. These things are as close to indestructible as a wheel has ever been. I have 8. I could part with them because I have gone to 40’s on 17’s. These are 15x8 drilled 3/4 for 11/16 studs, 5 on 5.5. Not cheap. Pm if interested.

Sorry about the bad photos. It’s all that was in my phone.

This is what I was able to find for my hay hauler.
American racing 15x8 and some 35” tires. This old truck rips btw. It’s got a 5 speed and cobra mustang 5.0 swap in it. Old cepek 6” lift kit, with extended shackles and bds leafs. I still need to get shocks, and straps front and rear. My 1986 is getting built as a NORRA legend class truck. I’m on my way to Nevada this week to go work on it. It’s at my friends ranch.

There's a spare tire and wheel at the back of the truck. A lot of my friends are looking for wheels with a similar pattern.

I found this old 73 short box in southern utah. Zero rust and very little damage. I’m still waiting for a price and details on who owns it.

Jon, some one started to swap an EFI 302, looks like a junk yard 90s truck motor. A stroker “cleaver” engine would be my choice for a vintage desert race truck.

As long as I run heads with this type of flow, I’m happy.
