Hello all! We are three weeks away from the long awaited Whiplash Penasco 300! Here is all the info!

The Penasco 300

Pre-running is open. The course will be marked the week of the event. The gps track is available and free! Email john@jonre.com for it.

This race is open to all car and truck classes including pre-runners, motorcycles, atv's and utv's! If you have a safe car or truck and want to race, we'll tech it and if it passes you are in!

The course is 2 - 150 mile laps. Starting and finishing in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.

There are pits at RM 32, RM 45, RM 65, RM 105, RM 120 and 150!

The course is fast and sandy for 32 miles, then rocky and hard packed but slower and technical to 70, then hard packed and fast to 100 more technical to 120, then sandy and fast to 150. You will be allowed to cross the border with fuel for this event, if you cross at the Lukeville, Arizona crossing. We will have people at the border to assist you.

If you are not crossing there please make arrangments to have someone who is crossing there bring your fuel. ANYONE WHO NEEDS TO BRING 55 GALLONS OF FUEL OR MORE CONTACT ME FIRST, SO I CAN GET YOU A COPY OF, "THE LETTER." I also need to put you on the list.

IF YOU HAVE A BOX VAN OR LARGER VEHICLE, PLEASE CONTACT ME PRIOR TO CROSSING THE BORDER. YOU WILL NEED THE LETTER AND TO BE ON THE LIST ALSO.

You do not need passports to cross the border until June 1st, but YOU DO NEED YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Your drivers license alone is not enough to prove you are a citizen of the USA.

Thank you!

The Strunk Bros trophy truck will be there. This looks like this will be a fun race. I always love racing in Rocky Point.

We did the pre-run this weekend with John.......the course is awesome. Love them 100+ mph straight-aways! GREAT JOB on the course John! If anyone misses this one your gonna miss one heck of a good time! Oh and the Oasis is a very very nice hotel. And the food is great. The bar and staff really took care of us while we were there! FIVE STAR treatment! Like John said.....this is our Baja but at a fraction of the cost.

Yep...that is Jesse Jones's pre-runner in the poto. Don't know if you can call it a pre-runner......well maybe the Cadillac of all Pre-Runners....first one I ever seen with AC, power windows & locks, cd player and one cool paint job!

John.....you put together one cool race! THANKS!
