So I have a truck Im rebuilding that sat outside in Vegas for a number of years.. had no fenders or hood.. before I got it the guy opened up wiring harness and started tapping into wires and it’s just a mess.. but it ran when he parked it..my question is would you guys try to fix said wiring thats kinda crusty from weather? Or go stand alone harness from Ron Francis or painfull wiring? Or try and find decent factory harness? It seems tgat the motors electrical is still hooked up but that’s it. Thanks in advance

Stick with the hacked up, 32 year old, weather beaten wiring. What could go wrong?

If it's stock and the stock harnesses are available then get a stock replacement. If the plan is to completely change the electrical system get a kit or wire it yourself.

We had a painless kit on a 91 5.0 with a C4, we upgraded to the edelbrock proflow 4 and are much happier with the management system. Depends what your plan is and budget.
