is live timing live??? a dozen competitors haven't made ck point 3?
Yes, live within a couple of minutes. You have to refresh the page often.

This is Checkpoint 3: Maps
Zoom out and you'll see it's not an easy location to get to, especially when you consider the zig-zagging nature of the course in that region. I think most who didn't make it will start again tomorrow, with large time penalties.

Stage 3 moves away from the massive Altar sand dunes into more rugged terrain. The stage starts in Puerto Peñasco, runs up and down multiple narrow sand washes chewed up by recent rains, crosses beautiful cactus flats, runs through rugged mountains, crosses a small but very challenging dune, then finishes on some "wide fast open" roads coming into Puerto Libertad for an awesome "on the beach" bivouac.

That EOS doesn't mater. It's a point inside the bivouac, and he probably parked off to the side somewhere and didn't get withing the 50' radius. That point is mostly to trigger the tracker to tell us he made it to the bivouac. It's not a scoring point. I looked when it happened, and he was indeed inside the bivouac, so I knew he was fine.

Stage 5, a short stage brings them into the finish of the event in Hermosillo. Though the stage is relatively short, it has a few navigation twists and different terrain to keep competitors on their toes!
