Roberto Rabago and Mario Reynoso demonstrated that you don’t need a Trophy Truck or a Class 1 to win an Overall in Baja.  They conquered the 2012 Speed Energy Rosarito 200 driving a single seat buggy.

The duo from Tijuana finished with the best combined time for the two heats driving a Class 12.  They beat the favorite Apdali Lopez (17), son of Juan Carlos Lopez from PIN Racing.

Apdali won the Open Truck class, but a flat tire and running out of brakes in the first heat cost him the overall.  He was still able to gain more experience for his upcoming Baja 1000 debut as a driver of Team RPM Off Road’s Class 8.

In the Motorcycle class, victory went to Brandon Prieto and Eric Yorba.  They won the open category by finishing their 8 laps around the really fun 20 mile loop the fastest.

Adolfo Arellano and Alberto Heredia Junior celebrated big in the ATV class when they clearly beat Luis García.  This was a 2 heat format, one in the morning and one in the afternoon and they added the times to figure out the race winners.

Spanish story:

Speed Energy Rosarito 200
