2016 SNORE Season opener kicked off in Primm Nevada with qualifying for Battle at Primm. SNORE is different from other sanctioning bodies as they allow 1600’s and Class 10, 12 to qualify where as SCORE and BITD are only TT, Class 1 and Spec TT on occasion. It would be nice with 50+ entries to allow 1450 Prerunner class to qualify also, although the class may not have asked for it. The course was setup with the start inside of the short course track and the finish just on the back side of it by the Buffalo Bills parking lot.
Only two Unlimited trucks qualified for BAP with Whitton finishing seventh and Staats in eigth. We have a feeling with the Parker 425 two weeks ago and the San Felipe 250 in a week that might be the reason that number is low.
In Class One Unlimited Ross Mattox beat Cody Freeman and James Dean for the bragging rights. Johnny Greaves 122 sounded as if he had a gearbox issue and pulled of the course before finishing. He limped it back to the pits.
21 – 1600 cars qualified today with the top spot going to the 1612 of Blaine Conrad, second place to Curt Geer and third to Michael Bud Ward. Hawley, Hendrickson, Alsup, Morgan, Brister, Freeman and Cullen round out the top ten.
Class 12 has 10 cars qualify with Randy Jones in 1216 besting Wisdom and Thatcher.
Class 10 had 13 cars qualify. Justin Davis was the quickest in 1085 followed by Messer and CJ Greaves.
