2018 NORRA Mexican 1000 Day 5 – POST Race Celebration

POST Race Celebration

Mark Post was first off the line in La Paz this morning but by Stage 2, South of Todos Santos, he was 20 minutes behind Ryan Arciero.  Many wondered if the lead he had built up over the last four days would be enough to hold of the hard charging Arciero.

When the checks flew in San Jose Del Cabo Post held his lead and winning the 2018 Mexican 1000 by 34 minutes over second place Arciero.

Arciero has a 20 minute lead on Post 10 miles into Stage 2.

Larry Ragland and Robby Gordon, who split driving duties during the week, finished 3rd overall in the Ultra Wheels Class 1 to 9th overall.

The big surprise of the week was KOH’s Dave Cole taking 4th overall in his LSX powered Ultra 4×4 car.
