The colorful 41-page event digital program is now live online.
The event program is available at 2020SCOREAwardsdigitalprogram.
Another key element of the annual SCORE Awards Night has always been a printed commemorative program. For the 2020 SCORE Awards SCORE has produced for the first time a digital commemorative program that has now launched on the SCORE website.
The digital program salutes the 2020 SCORE point champions as well as previews the entire evening in text, images and embedded videos.
Publisher of the colorful on-line program was Jim Ryan, SCORE Marketing and Sales Director while editor was Dominic Clark, SCORE Media Operations Director. Layout and design were developed by Ashley Horne of Ashley Graphics and photography supplied by Art Eugenio, Get Some Photo.
Normally held with a festive crowd of nearly 600 racers, crews, sponsors, VIPs and media, the annual celebratory evening was held for the previous four years at the popular San Diego Air & Space Museum at the historic Balboa Park.
Because of the pandemic protocols in place this year, SCORE International has creatively produced this show to celebrate the two-race 2020 SCORE World Desert Championship.
SCORE has finished its 47th season as the World’s Foremost Desert Racing Organization.
This year many of the award winners and podium racers submitted special videos that have been edited into the final show.
This very special awards show has been produced by SCORE International. Producer of the show was Aaron Laub of SCORE Media House. Host for the event was popular SCORE Live announcer Rat Sult.
Dominic Clark, longtime SCORE Media Operations Director along with SCORE Marketing and Sales Director Jim Ryan developed the script for the show.
Also providing editorial and content input were Jose A. Grijalva, SCORE President and Race Director, Juan Tintos Funcke, SCORE General Manager and Audreonna Garcia, SCORE Registration and Membership Director.
The show includes colorful videos and photographic tributes to the 2020 SCORE World Desert Championship provided by racers, SCORE Live and Art Eugenio, GetSomePhoto.
In addition to the special SCORE Achievement Awards and the Pro and Sportsman classes that qualified racers for class season championships along with four overall point champions who will be honored. Another highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the annual SCORE Off-Roadsman of the Year Awards.
Individuals as well as manufacturers and organizations are honored through nine distinct SCORE Off-Roadsman of the Year Awards, whose winners were decided by tens of thousands SCORE fans through online voting including the entire SCORE membership of more than 2,500. Among the awards to be presented are SCORE Rookie of the year, SCORE Contingency Company of the year, SCORE Pit Support Team of the year and SCORE Mechanic of the year.
The 2020 Manufacturer point champions to be honored as well are Jimco Racing (Original Open-Wheel Chassis), Kroyer Racing Engines (Engine Builder), Geiser Brothers (Original Truck Chassis), Polaris (UTV) and KTM (Motorcycle).
Another element of the diverse program for tonight’s show will be the presentation of the 2020 Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Awards, presented by VP Racing Fuels.  As it has for 35 years, the coveted SCORE Milestone Awards are presented to those racers who finish every required mile as official finishers of the 2020 SCORE World Desert Championship. A total of 43 racers completed all 1,291.40 required miles as official finishers in the two-race 2020 SCORE World Desert Championship.
