The 2021 CODE W Autopartes La Tetera Night Race took place May 22nd on the Laguna Salada dry lake bed near Mexicali, Baja. The motos and quads raced on the north side of the highway and they ran 3 laps on a 40 mile course. The cars and trucks raced on the south side of the highway on a 65 mile course and ran three laps for the pro classes and two laps for sportsman.
The 4x bike raced by Jose Enriquez Jr. and Luis Flores took the overall moto win with a time of 2 hours, 52 minutes and 19 seconds. In the quad/ATV classes Javier Robles Jr. and Ivan Mejorado had the fastest time of 2 hours, 48 minutes and 54 seconds.
For the pro cars the class 10 driven by Bruce Yee, Jose Robles, Diego Yee and Rafael Robles had the overall fastest time of 3 hours, 55 minutes and 43 seconds. In the 2 lap sportsman race the 7s truck driven by Zahid Diaz and Alejandro Morales had the fastest time of 3 hours, 43 minutes and 57 seconds.
Alfonso LaCarra of CODE said that it was a fun and safe race with perfect weather for their second race of the season. Next up is the Hechicera Grand Prix July 23-25th in Tecate.
