2021 Tatts Finke Desert Race / Race Day 1 and 2

Day 1 of the 2021 Tatts Finke Desert Race started in Alice Springs in the remote Northern Territory of Australia. After winning the Method Race Wheels Prologue, Toby Price started first off the line on the 226km race course which would finish in Finke.

Toby Price dominated day 1 of the race with a time of 1 hour, 39 minutes and 15 seconds beating his 2019 time by 5 minutes.  And then he followed it up with the overall win on day 2 with a time of 1 hour, 43 minutes and 16 seconds.  This makes Toby the first person in Finke history to win the race on both a bike and truck!

Ryan Taylor came in 6th in the Pro Buggy class with a time of 3 hours, 49 minutes and 59 seconds.

Sounds like a bad crash into spectators with one fatality shut down some of this race . Sorry for that and hope the rest heal up completely.

Yes, it looks like most of the cars and trucks finished day 2 before the accident happened and then they canceled the rest of the race. The bikes were escorted back and crossed the finish and they used day 1 for the final bike results.
