77 Trick Trucks and Open Class 1500 Cars to Qualify for the Pole Starting Position for the 2014 General Tire “Vegas to Reno” Presented by FOX

40 Trick Trucks will line up along with 33 open Class 1500 desert race cars to compete for their starting positions and see who can reel off the quickest lap at Time Trials tomorrow and claim the coveted Team Ford “Pole Award”. The first starting position at this long distance, point-to-point race can prove to be pivotal for a shot at the overall victory. This is where thousandths of a second can make or break your race. When they’re complete and results are posted, strategies will feverishly be formulated to see how you can either stay out front in the lead, or carve your way through an extremely fast and competitive field to work your way to the front.
Huge class fields for the race are not just limited to the Trick Trucks and open cars. 44 UTVs are also taking on the grueling 535 mile long journey starting in Beatty, NV, and finishing in Dayton, just south of Reno. Plus 28 solo Ironman motorcycle and Quad racers will taking on this incredible challenge.
Overall, 304 racers from the U.S. and around the world are set to compete – with entries coming now from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, South Africa, Uruguay and 25 U.S. states.
